Two companies have announced important leadership moves in the UK insurance sector.
Evolution Claims Management, a specialist in managing claims for UK insurance brands, has appointed Donna Quarrell (pictured above) as director of operations as the company continues its expansion.
In her new role, Quarrell will oversee operational processes across the business. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the insurance sector, having most recently served as head of service delivery at Innovation Group UK. Prior to that, she worked as operations manager at both the same provider and Aviva.
“We are pleased to welcome Donna to the business. Her experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our market share and implement an innovative approach to claims management. Her appointment strengthens our leadership team and supports our growth plans,” said Martin Thompson, COO at Evolution.
Quarrell’s appointment follows other recent hires at Evolution Claims Management, including Jim Pittman as head of professional services to oversee larger and more complex claims.
The company, headquartered in Oldbury, said it continues to invest in talent development, with dedicated programs to enhance skills and leadership.
Concirrus, a provider of AI-based insurance solutions, has appointed Steve O’Reilly as product manager.
O’Reilly joins the company with extensive experience, having previously held senior roles at Miller and PPL. In his new position, he will lead product development initiatives aimed at improving underwriting processes.
“Steve’s appointment comes at a critical time as we continue to scale our platform and meet the growing demand for faster, more efficient underwriting tools. His combination of insurance knowledge and product leadership will be key in advancing our development plants,” said Ruth Polyblank, director of product and strategy, at Concirrus.
The UK insurance industry has seen an increase in AI and machine learning use in various areas, particularly in claims processing and data management. This push is being driven by changing consumer expectations, with demands for faster, more personalised services.
